The lyrics for Hawaiian Lullaby were composed in the 1970s by a father, Hector Venegas, coping with the anguish of witnessing his daughter suffer and work to recover from bacterial meningitis. His words were set to music by Peter Moon, the founder of The Sunday Manoa.
For our Hālau, this uplifting song takes us from the Mainland all the way to the Islands every time we perform it. Josh Tatofi lends his voice to this special mele.
