I don't work in “addiction medicine”; I work in a recovery clinic. I don't work with drug addicts - I work with people who struggle with addiction. I love my job because the people I work with and serve are such a blessing in my life that I can work all day, every day, as if I don't need the money. And, at the end of my day I hope lives are changed in a positive way - including mine.
So, I wrote a new rap song that was inspired by this new chapter in my career, my relationship with God, my patients who are working their recovery, and my amazing co-workers at MSRC who show up every day and put up with my singing off key – and me trying to RAP.
So, to all of my patients, "Thank you, for inviting me to walk with you along this part of your journey and for agreeing to be messengers for me of His Grace. May the Light in me always recognize the Light in you and vice versa. Namaste.
Even though I cannot RAP to save my life, this is the genre of music my soul sent to me to write this message in.
I own all rights to the lyrics/phrases of this song which are copyrighted by me. However, the music is royalty free and does not belong to me, specifically. I am looking for someone who can actually perform RAP to do the song for me for a fee and when I accomplish that, I will re-upload. Until then, you get me  .
