As seen in Ancient Greek Mythology, the Owl is Athena’s sacred animal for Her unparalleled intelligence, war stratagems, and innovation of crafty tools. In this introductory short film, Goddess Mara has embodied this bird of prey to showcase Her skills as a flow artist, fire dancer, and character performer. Silk fans, fire fans, fire torches, a parasol, and isis wings are combined with dance to create a narrative of how Her existence has ensnared mankind.

The song “Oracle” by Audeka perfectly fits this High Priestess’ ethereal world. As a seer into the Unknown, Mara captivates us with daring eyes and fluid movements channeled through the Divine. Music is universally understood and shapes the way we act through frequencies. Permission has been graciously granted by the Methlab Agency.

The following descriptions give the most accurate representations of Owl Symbolism according to totem meanings and beyond by HEP6: hep6.com/owl-symbolism-facts-meaning-totem-spirit-power-animal

The owl has always been drawn as a symbol of paranormal wisdom. It is both a thinker and a hunter, a planner and a doer. The owl’s ability to see through webs of deception is an otherworldly trait, and when it appears as a spirit, it grants us access to its wealth of knowledge of the hidden realms. To have an owl as a power animal often requires us to travel through the darkness of the night, and from there, we find our own solace in the hidden voice of a Higher Power. It takes the owl’s keenness and awareness to find this voice in our lives. The owl’s hooting cry — “WHO” — is also a call for us to realize ourselves before we are even granted the truth of sacred wisdom. Medicine men also call upon the owl when magic is in order. The owl is regal yet silent, fierce yet intelligent, with a natural affinity for the fantastic, the unknown, and an unusual gift of intuition. As an occult bird of protection, it is also a messenger between our world and a higher one, guiding the souls of the deceased to the next plane of existence.
