Meret is a goddess who was known for rejoicing. She was the definition of beauty through music. She was a token wife and was occasionally given to The God of the Nile. She usually wore a blue lotus or papyrus. She was seen as being Hapy’s wife, the God of the Nile, as a symbol of his generosity. Meret was always associated with rejoicing by singing and dancing and was the goddess of the eighth hour.
(Since I was unable to purchase tempera and Indian ink, I tried my best to make my picture look weathered by time as much as I could.)
