Earth Day is this week. Let's learn some fun ways to repurpose the things in our home. Check out this candle holder DIY with Hannah!!! (Scroll for instructions and materials)
Materials:
- Glass jar
- Glue (anything that dries clear—like craft glue)
- Glitter
- Tealight
- OPTIONAL: Tape, paintbrush
- And a workspace where you can get glitter everywhere!

Instructions:
1- Pour some of the glue over the outside of the jar. Only cover about half with glue.
2- Using a rag or a paintbrush, spread the glue thinly over that section of the jar.
3- Quickly shake glitter over the glue before it dries. You can put as much or as little glitter as you’d like.
4- Repeat steps 1-3 for the other half of the jar.
5- Once the glue has dried, place the tealight inside the jar. If it’s an electric light, turn it on and enjoy! If it’s a real candle, wait until a grown up can help you light it.

Alt. Instructions for a VERY sparkly jar:
1- Place tape around the jar. This will create a clean line where the glitter begins.
2- Paint the glue below the tape.
3- Sprinkle a LOT of glitter over the glue. Shake off the extra.
4- Let it dry. Then place your tealight inside!
