This DSD addressed the norms of clothing and challenged how we, as a society, dress and choose to wear our clothing. Fashion is a very important concern of many people and is often influenced by others. For DSD #2: Wear, I decided to pick out two different outfits while blindfolded. Clothes and fashion are both extremely visual things and by blindfolding myself I relied only on my sense of touch -- a very unconventional way to choose an outfit. At first I was nervous about being judged or possibly being kicked out of the store, but none of that happened. It was really interesting when I went to try on the outfits because I was seeing what I picked out for the first time. Although I won’t actually end up wearing these outfits, it was fun to see how I was still able to put outfits together!
