この美しく、詩的なドキュメンタリーは　オイスターに特別な関わりがある人々が描かれています。ニューヨークのバーレスクダンサー、フランスのミシュランシェフ、スウェーデンのオイスターダイバー、重い病気である英国の心理学者、そして日本はあこや真珠に携わる私が登場します。

このフィルムのなかで日本のあこや真珠の歴史において、はじまりとも言える長崎のあこや真珠、海が登場します。琴の海こと、大村湾で養殖真珠を営まれている松田真珠養殖の松田さん、私の手がける”acoya”の活動とともに、あこや真珠を通して伝えたい海の環境、あこや真珠とはなにか、様々な想いなどが美しい映像とともに描かれています。

The Oyster has some contexts. One of them is the desire to live. Oyster acts as a metaphor to explore ambitions, desires, and what people are looking for on their life in this film.
The protagonists have their own special connection to the oyster - a New York burlesque dancer, French Michelin-starred chefs, a Swedish oyster diver, a terminally ill English psychologist and me, a Japanese pearl maker.
This beautiful image of the film leads you to a poetic and philosophical journey.

The sea of Nagasaki prefecture, where Akoya oysters were first found in Japan, and Akoya pearl in Nagasaki appeared in this film. Describing what I want to express through Akoya pearl with a beautiful image, Matsuda Cultivated Pearl Farm in the Koto Sea ( Omura bay) “Acoya”, and the beautiful sea were all shown in this film.
