Tomorrowland, the biggest EDM festival in the world, commissioned a documentary film about the year 2015. Reason: the festival was held in three continents for the first time. The film spans stories from the festival in homeland Belgium, the Chattahoochee Hills in Atlanta,USA, and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
I started as a story researcher but worked up to story editor and second unit director, finding the stories among the visitors, as well as filming parts of the film at the festival. Wim Bonte was the main director and it was a pleasure to work with him and Shadowplay.
This is a part that I directed, interviewing Kyleigh who was deaf, that was a first!
The film was shown in Sportpaleis, to 10 000 people, and aired on Netflix, where it received a 5-star rating.
