Every year, the Serendipity Arts Foundation organises the Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa.

The team takes up an old building and transforms it into a venue for the Arts. Starting with the Adil Shah Palace in the first year of SAF, followed by Old Public Works Department (PWD) Complex in Patto, Panjim and finally, Old Goa Institute of Management (Old GIM) in Ribandar at SAF 2019.

We spoke to Smriti Rajgarhia, a trained Architect and the Director of Serendipity Arts Foundation to know more about the work they are doing. The history behind these old buildings and the idea behind it.

Serendipity Arts Festival (SAF) is one of the largest multi-disciplinary arts initiatives in the South Asian region. It spans the visual, performing and culinary arts, whilst exploring genres with film, live arts, literature and fashion. Besides the core content, which is conceptualized by an eminent curatorial panel, the Festival has various layers of programming, in the form of educational initiatives, workshops, special projects, and institutional engagements.
