Partly filmed in British Columbia, The Call of the Wild is about a pampered dog named Buck that is stolen from his home in the lower 48 with the aim of being sold as a sled dog in the frozen Yukon. He escapes and finds a home with loner John Thornton (Harrison Ford), who grows to love Buck. Together they head off on an adventure into an area where no one has ever been before.
