Dava and Dorchel created LAB RATS. Originating from the word collaborate (col- LAB- o- RAT- e) they are creating a show that allows artists to collaborate, rather than compete. The ultimate goal is to create an inter-disciplinary community of artists in New York City that becomes familiar to the non-art community, while simultaneously connecting LAB RATS artists to established artistic professionals to further their carers.
LAB RATS will be hosting an array of artists, such as: dancers, film makers, actors, painters, fashion designers etc. They have gathered a roster of 30 artists to create a unique event that would be open to the public and other artistic professionals. Our roster of artists come from admired institutions and companies such as Juilliard, SUNY Purchase, NYU Tisch, University of Southern California, Marymount, Fordham, Cooper Union, Gibney Dance company, VIM VIGOR, Raja Feather Kelly , etc
