Barbara Veiga is a photographer and filmmaker from Brazil, with experience in more than 80 countries. She has joined photography and audiovisual in partnership with worldwide organizations such as Greenpeace, Sea Shepherd, Amazon Watch and Avaaz.
Through her photography, she was awarded by the National Geographic for the work “Pelo Homem, Pela Natureza” ("For Man, For Nature"), shown in Paris, at the Jardin des Plantes (2011), and in Cannes, in the same year, during the Cinema Festival.
She is the author of the book Sete anos em Sete Mares ("Seven years in Seven Seas") and she's also the Founder of the Movement "Liga das Mulheres Pelos Oceanos"(Women's League for the Oceans").
Barbara Veiga is an artist who wants to converge her multiple talents to bring awareness to protect the Oceans and the Planet.
Her artistic performances connect the diverse realities through the light of the inner search for peace and connection with Mother Earth.
