End result of the 'Live Action City Destruction' course (aka 'Reverse Gravity').
Thinking Particles was used to drive and save a cache with all the Rigid Body Dynamics of the scene. It was also used to create the lightnings that strikes from above.
All the fluids were simulated using PhoenixFD by reading the collision info stored in the TP cache. The resulting simulation were stored as AUR files for later reading.
I merged all the elements in one scene and rendered out using 3dsMax and VRay, including render elements like SelfIllumination, Velocity and RawLighting.
Then all the footage was loaded into Nuke and created the composition.
