Billions of tons of plastic in the seas affecting and contaminating ecosystem, animals lives and humans. Humanity has created 8.3 billions tons of plastic. Today 4.6 billion tons of plastic are in landfills and in the environment.
It is estimated that 75% of the waste is in the depths of the seas and only 25% is on the surface.
We have used the ocean as a trash can, as if it could somehow recycle our synthetic leftovers.
It is such a huge and serious problem that has led fisherman communities, NGO's and informal groups to take action. We must STOP producing plastic. Solutions must be found for the remaining problem.
A new fabric is produced from collected ocean's plastic and NAE is providing a solution with a new product.
