Nighty Night is based on the creators' shared experiences of being awakened by a noise in their sleep and the phenomenon of sleep paralysis, which is the inability to wake up from a nightmare. A simple but terrifyingly comical nightmare story.
Based on the spatial characteristics of the six sides of 360VR, the bedroom is selected as the background of the story, and the vivid background color contrast is used as a distinction to build a dream and real-world that is terrifying but does not lose the sense of animation. The drawing design of nightmare monsters and noises is based on the results of the deformation and transformation of real elements, and there is a certain commonality. Through this form, after the tone is bright, it is suggested that the monster comes from the imagination of the real noise.
The film also uses sound as a clue to guide the audience's viewing experience and uses binaural technology to realize sound response to spatial location information.
And the voice from overhead in the final credits once again makes people lost in the gap between reality and dream, reverse and make people wonder if our protagonist has really woken up.
