Welcome to the 12th, and perhaps final, episode of Move of the Month! Over the past year, on the last Sunday of each month, I have been sharing a dance movement I had learnt during that month.

The Move of the Month is always new to me. It is something I had either never seen or never attempted before. Over the course of the year, I also made the effort to learn moves from a different teacher every month. But somehow, the loop is looped with this episode, which brings me right back to the very beginning.

Indeed, to round up this series, I went back to class with the teacher who inspired the very first move of my series - Yukiko Masui. What fascinates me in her class is that there are still moves that I can't do, can't make sharp enough or can't do very smoothly. Clearly, I will never stop learning. But perhaps now is the time to share that learning with you on a different platform?

In 2020, keep an eye on my Instagram feed @yanaelledanse for reposts of this series and more moves, obviously!

Music: 'City Boy' by Judd Greenstein

Move of the Month is inspired by Nadia Vadori-Gauthiers' Une minute de danse par jour (daily minute-long dances) and by Giulia Coti Zelati and Miranda Sheehy's Tiny Dances (weekly 30 second dance films). It is dedicated to all the artists and friends thanks to whom I never stop learning. If you think of any class I should take or move I should try, let me know! Your suggestions are welcome.
