Client: Fishers Island Lemonade

Project Brief: I teamed up with the FIL team to create these 3D animated spots to promote the launch of their awesome new beverage flavors. The goal was to create 5 unique spots for each of their flavors, all to be used on social media and digital platforms. This involved creating CG renderings of their products, fluid and ice simulations, and the surrounding environments (backgrounds, floors, and lighting). Once these 3D elements were created, I added 2D text elements to highlight the flavors selling points and ABV percentages. Another part of the puzzle was bringing the animations to life audibly, adding sound effects and voiceover narrations for each animation. To bring the project home, I reformatted the original wide versions of the animation for social media distribution (square and tall aspect ratio).

My role: All aspects of production including:
- Art & creative direction
- Design: Scene composition, can texturing, 3D modeling (ice cubes and scene floors), 3D scene creation (lighting, backgrounds, and floor elements).
- Animation: Liquid condensation, camera moves, can & glass movement, background elements, and 2D/text elements.
- Liquid Simulation: The use of XParticles to simulate a liquid pouring from a can into glass. For the “Fizz” flavor, I simulated particles to act as the beverage’s bubbles.
- Rendering: The use of Redshift Render Engine to render out final scenes.
- Compositing & video editing: Taking 3D renders and CG cameras and adding 2D text elements.
- Sound design: Hiring and management of voiceover artists, adding sound effects for each can environment. - File delivery and formatting: Creation of wide (1920x1080), square (1080x1350), and tall (1080x1920) versions of the video in both ProRes 422 and H264 file format.
