The name of the font is Buck, in the sense of “charging into something”, figuratively representing the idea of subversive signs.
Font design for signs should follow the principle of "accurate and clear", but the subversive font BUCK goes against the current. It is aggressive, delirious, illegible and ridiculous, as if it were supposed to explode in the viewer’s face. It casts a mischievous surprise to the viewer, but strives to preserve their immediate, spontaneous association.
In the video we compare BUCK and Helvetica by means of a flipping animation between the two.
