In December 10, 1999, the Philippine island of Luzon dealt with a massive overnight blackout. Unbeknownst to residents, an estimated 50
truck-loads of jellyfish swam into one of the major powerplants and found themselves trapped in its cooling system. This strange news left an
imprint in my mind, and I would never forget about it.
I decided to immortalize the tragic journey of the jellyfishes in this animation. Their movement exude innocence, calm, and mindfulness
almost celestial--astral in nature. Lao Tzu once said, "To the mind that is still the whole universe surrenders."

In the dystopian future, our hero finds his inner peace in a state of Zen. He's reminded of the jellyfishes that inspired him when
he was a child. During this moment of calm and meditation, he summons his avatars of fire and ice. This is his ritual before going to battle.
